I thought I had plenty of the blue yarn to finish up my American Flag afghan but I ran out with about 16 more star hexagons to go. I have a terrible cold right now so probably won't go get more yarn for a couple of days. I did make a little amigurumi ghost for my granddaughter that turned out cute. That only took me about 30 minutes to complete. I also started crocheting a stuffed bear for the Mother Bear Project.
Welcome to my crochet blog! My name is Stephanie and I live in Cedar Park, Texas. I started this blog so that I could be better organized with my crochet projects. I currently have too much yarn and too many works in progess (wips). I also have purchased all of the yarn for future projects that I haven't even started. Follow along with me as I get things completed.

Update on the progress of my American Flag afghan:
I started attaching the blue hexagon stars together by holding them right sides together and whip-stitching in the front loops only. I had sewn them together into seven strips that way but realized they were coming out way too long to be able to be attached to the stripes portion. I then saw that the pattern suggested holding them wrong sides together and whip-stitching through both loops. I couldn't take them apart as I had woven in the ends as I went along. So now I am starting over and making all new hexagon stars. I made a couple and attached them the way the pattern suggested and can tell this is making a much smaller space between the hexagons. It will take extra time to redo all of them but thank goodness I have plenty more of the white and blue yarn.
